Nominator's rationale: Undefined and undefinable. Could be about musicians who write pieces about the environment or musicians who write "environmental music", whatever that is. Also, everything is part of the environment ... there's the built and natural environment, for a start. As for the artists added to the category, they may have written some songs about the environment but it might not make up the bulk of their output and that isn't defining for the artists concerned anyway; examples include the Beach Boys ("God Only Knows" is not about the environment as commonly understood, and ditto for Clocks by Coldplay.   • Merge per SMALLCAT, probably full upmerge. Tuva was a Russian protectorate until 1921 then independent; then absorbed by USSR, becoming a member of Russian Federation, which is still its status. Tuvan people is well populated and relates to a polity that has long existed, contrary to what Marcocapelle suggests. No need for a wider upmerge as he is already in Soviet aviators.   • Not only people – culture has nationality, as it is retained even in diasporas. Therefore the national categories for literature and other cultural forms are named using nationalities rather than country names, see Wikipedia:Category_names#Socio-cultural_topics. Despite this, the parents use "by country" e.g. Category:Literature by country, so I accept this alternative. Revised proposal:

  • I have no gripe with nation-->nationality. Because of the fuzzy overlaps of culture/nationality/language, I feel it's best to keep the category a little vague. In other words, "country" may be too limiting: this would banish, say, "Andalusian poetry" or "Flemish poetry", should such articles be desired, whereas the slightly vaguer "nationality" would allow them in with (what I see as) their siblings. Similarly splitting into 2 categories (nationality versus language) may unnecessarily bring technical and political disputes into a category that is better judged while squinting. Cheers. Nominator's rationale: Wikipedia:Category names § Visual arts recommends "[type of works] by [Artist]", e.g., "Paintings by Foo", but the categories listed above are (I think) the last remnant of an earlier style which used "[Artist] [type of works]". The proposed category names are closer not only to their parent category Category:Paintings of the Madonna and Child but also to their "Paintings by [artist]" parent categories and, in seven out of 16 cases, to the parent articles on the artists.
