- The result of the discussion was: delete. (non-admin closure) Qwerfjkltalk 10:05, 26 December 2022 (UTC)
- Nominator's rationale: Eponymous category of unclear necessity. The contents here are the original film, a 1950s comic book series that had no particularly obvious narrative connection to the film besides sharing the title, the film's theme song, its spinoff television series and the television series' episode list -- but all of those things are already crosslinked to each other via the {{Weird Science}} navigational box as it is, so a category is just superfluous if there isn't a lot more to file in it than this. Bearcat (talk) 16:37, 18 December 2022 (UTC)
- Delete -- I would have expected this to be in the nature a sibling of pseudoscience, not TV/film franchise. Peterkingiron (talk) 17:51, 25 December 2022 (UTC)

- The result of the discussion was: soft merge. (non-admin closure) Qwerfjkltalk 10:06, 26 December 2022 (UTC)
- Nominator's rationale: merge per WP:SMALLCAT, currently only one article in the category. Marcocapelle (talk) 10:24, 18 December 2022 (UTC)

Category:Bedfordshire architecture[edit]
- The following is an archived discussion concerning one or more categories. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made on an appropriate discussion page (such as the category's talk page or in a deletion review). No further edits should be made to this section.
- The result of the discussion was: manual merge. (non-admin closure) Qwerfjkltalk 10:06, 26 December 2022 (UTC)
- Nominator's rationale: Manual merge, just move
NT properties andwindmills, then delete. Unlike e.g. Category:Architecture of Leeds, the subcats here are just buildings, not distinctly architecture-related. – Fayenatic London 09:05, 18 December 2022 (UTC)
- Support, but do not move the NT subcategory as a whole because it does not just contain buildings (neither architecture, for that matter). Just move the windmills and the last two articles in the NT subcategory. Marcocapelle (talk) 10:34, 18 December 2022 (UTC)
- Ah, thanks for looking – it's obvious that I had not. Now that I have, Whipsnade Tree Cathedral is not a building either, and the only member of the NT properties category that is a building is already categorised via Category:Listed buildings in Bedfordshire. So only the windmills subcat needs to be moved over. – Fayenatic London 18:14, 18 December 2022 (UTC)

- The result of the discussion was: delete. (non-admin closure) Qwerfjkltalk 10:07, 26 December 2022 (UTC)
- Nominator's rationale: Only contains one bio which is already in Architects from Essex. – Fayenatic London 08:36, 18 December 2022 (UTC)
- Support, meanwhile User:Whispyhistory has added a few articles about buildings, but they are already in the tree of Category:Buildings and structures in Essex. Marcocapelle (talk) 10:29, 18 December 2022 (UTC)

- The following is an archived discussion concerning one or more categories. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made on an appropriate discussion page (such as the category's talk page or in a deletion review). No further edits should be made to this section.
- The result of the discussion was: upmerge. (non-admin closure) Qwerfjkltalk 10:09, 26 December 2022 (UTC)
- Nominator's rationale: Only one article, as long as the article has all the relevant categories, nothing will be lost. ―Justin (koavf)❤T☮C☺M☯ 00:04, 18 December 2022 (UTC)
- Upmerge, category trees for U.S. insular areas do not need to have the same level of detail as sovereign countries. Marcocapelle (talk) 07:27, 18 December 2022 (UTC)
- But, Justin, the article does not have all the relevant categories. Speedy merge C2F to Category:COVID-19 pandemic in Oceania, Category:Health in the Northern Mariana Islands and Category:Disasters in the Northern Mariana Islands. – Fayenatic London 09:12, 18 December 2022 (UTC)

- Speedy merge WP:C2F to Category:COVID-19 pandemic in Oceania and Category:Disease outbreaks in Guam. There is no rationale for removing the article from those parents. – Fayenatic London 09:10, 18 December 2022 (UTC)
