  • Comment, I have no clue whether this category should be empty by lack of articles about Kumu original programming, but if that is the case, then after deletion of this category, its parent Category:Kumu (social network) can be nominated for speedy upmerging per WP:C2F.   • Comment This category was sitting on the Empty Categories list for a few days but I didn't tag it for CSD C1 deletion because I was having a discussion with the page creator over whether or not TV programs that utilized Kumu could be categorized as Kumu programming. I argued that the social network was incidental and used to promote the TV series rather than having an active role in the production of these shows. Maybe the category creator will come to this discussion to argue for their perspective on these categories. Liz Read! Talk! 01:42, 23 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
  • Comment I feel like the category should be kept (no bias in my opinion here) or renamed because some ABS-CBN shows use Kumu heavily for in-game mechanics, interaction with the viewer and show, or even having a direct role in auditions. Pinoy Big Brother is a big example of all three gimmicks used in one show.
For example, Pinoy Big Brother: Kumunity Season 10 and Pinoy Big Brother: Connect used Kumu as an online audition platform to find new housemates. Season 9 used Kumu to tell prospective housemates to record a 1-minute video and asked them to describe themselves. When a housemate was shortlisted as a housemate hopeful, they would receive a message from a PBB executive. Kumunity Decides! is a currently ongoing section that involves Kumu users using the "gifting system" to gift "virtual gifts" that is used to give the users the power to choose whether or not to give challenge(s), task(s), or advantage(s) to housemate(s) who received the highest amount of votes.
I think a show qualifies to be added to the category if the show either (a) has a segment(s) that uses Kumu to a great extent, (b) the show has a segment that involves the host directly interacting with a Kumu user (not including call-in segments) , or (c) Kumu is used to such a degree that the Kumu users can directly influence the outcome of the show.
But I think the category should be renamed to something like Category:Philippine shows that use Kumu (social network) or Category:Shows that use Kumu (social network) because the current name implies that the show is exclusive to Kumu. That is not the case for all of the programming currently being broadcast by ABS-CBN (now Kapamilya Channel for the main channel) or the many block time agreements with channels like A2Z. Well, since this category is empty, ShiriEdits, I don't think there is any good reason to prevent you from creating new categories that you believe are more suitable for the situation that exists with this programming arrangement. Of course, they could be nominated as well, but it's something you could get started on since you seem to understand the production arrangements for these TV series better than those of us who are not exposed to them because we live elsewhere.
