Nominator's rationale: The sole entry is Kormakitis, whose inhabitants speak an Arabic dialect but do not identify as ethnic Arabs. No possible merge targets found — Category:Arabic-speaking countries and territories is being cleaned up to include only those places which have declared Arabic as an official language. –LaundryPizza03 (d) 18:44, 4 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support, the article is about a Maronite community and is already categorized as such. Marcocapelle (talk) 20:55, 5 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Nominator's rationale: There is no point in having the page Category:Polish non-binary actors for now as there are not enough pages on Wikipedia to fill that category. Giovanni 0331 (talk) 07:34, 4 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I've dug around a little more and changed my mind. I think that a lot of the Category:Non-binary people by nationality and occupation categories are too small right now and should be upmerged.Mason (talk) 01:11, 10 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Caste based princely state categories[edit]

Nominator's rationale: For the same reason Category:Muslim princely states of India was deleted i.e. WP:NONDEFINING. Princely states are not categorized by caste in any RS and moreover attribution of castes as such to princely states is most often dubious (also covered by WP:CASTE sanctions). These cats are also a magnet for various caste-based POVPUSHers and can easily be done without. Gotitbro (talk) 06:55, 4 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Nominator's rationale: delete, "with machine translation" is not a defining characteristic of a language. This is follow-up on this discussion about Google Translate on yesterday's log page. Marcocapelle (talk) 06:13, 4 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete I agree, not WP:CATDEFs, as well as overcategorization. In addition, the names aren't accurate. These are "Schrödinger cats" 🤣 where we don't know whether a given subject is or isn't a member. At any given time, there are probably languages supported by machine translation but this is unknown to whoever has taken upon themselves assignment to or exclusion from any of these categories. To avoid this, assuming it's undesirable, their names would have to be more like "Languages of Bangladesh that I know to be supported by machine translation". But surely we can't have that either. Largoplazo (talk) 15:10, 4 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete per Largoplazo. I was on the fence but not only is it non-defining, it's too vague. Nardog (talk) 20:45, 4 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete. I agree with all three above editors. Additionally: Contributes to category clutter, making relevant category navigation more difficult. Pathawi (talk) 10:07, 5 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete as nondefining. QuietHere (talk | contributions) 07:17, 6 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
